The Bush bluff has been called. The Iranian government has announced what may very well give the Bush/Cheney democratic dictatorship the excuse they need to launch World War III.
In an interview with the New York Times, Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Hassan Kazemi Qumi defiantly outlined Iran’s intentions to overtly expand her influence in Iraqi affairs. Bush has accused Iran of covert meddling including support of violent Shiite militias. So why not bring it out in the open? The ambitious Iranian plan includes, vague declarations for “security” assistance to Iraqi forces, reconstruction aide and the establishment of an Iranian National Bank in Baghdad.
How dare they! The White House is not going to like this one iota!
Following the U.S. arrest of six Iranian diplomats suspected of being security officials within Iraq, Iran has indeed made a bold chess move. Ambassador Qumi went so far as to admit two of the Iranian diplomats arrested were in fact Iranian security officials. However, he insists they were operating legitimately within Iraq. So what is Bush going to do about it?
Iran is thumbing its nose at the Bush Administration as if to say: You
can’t solve the problem in Iraq. But Iran can.” With the White House
record of incompetence in Iraq, it seems logical Iran’s cultural
similarities and language ties to Iraq give Iran a decisive edge.
Amid escalating violence with militias,
certain to increase with Bush’s “surge” of occupying troops, Iran has
decided to move in on Bush’s non-existent turf. Are not these militias
largely Shiites, bent on expulsion of Sunnis and above all the despised
U.S. Occupiers? So, how is it the Bush Administration can expect
co-operation from Iranian assistance? They can’t. A Shiite dominated, Iran friendly Iraq
is the goal of Iran. It has been since the March 2003 U.S. invasion.
Expulsion of the U.S. Military and withdrawal is paramount to Iran’s
long-term intentions. The U.S. installed “democratic” puppet government
will be disbanded and the installation of a Mid-Eastern style
government sympathetic to Iran and Shia shall be installed. Iranian
success is almost assured, and with it a final, closing, chapter of the 1980-88 Iraq/Iran war.
George W. Bush’s retort is a predictable tough talking moronic response.
On National Public Radio Bush stated: "If Iran escalates its military
action in Iraq to the detriment of our troops and, or, innocent Iraqi
people, we will respond firmly." The Bush administration seems hell
bent for leather in teaching Iran respect for U.S. military power.
According to under secretary of state for political affairs, Nicolas Burns: “Iran certainly needs to respect American power in the Middle East.”
Oh Yeah? Iranian intellectuals and political leaders must be laughing
their heads off. So, the U.S. is going to kick ass on another smaller,
Islamic Nation eh? Let them. Iran will simply play the role of another
victim of U.S. aggression and rebuild. In the long run Iran will win
and the U.S. will lose. It would be a hollow U.S. victory at best.
Obviously, Bush’s boasting and carrier strike groups do not frighten Iran anymore then the Boogey Man. Iran seems to be saying “go ahead. We dare you.”
Referring to the 1980-1988 Iraq/Iran war Iranian ambassador Qumi
offered assistance in reconstructing Iraq by stating: “We have
experience of reconstruction after war.” Not only is this a sarcastic
slap at pathetic U.S attempts at the reconstruction of Iraq, Mr. Qumi
even invited U.S. companies to work for Iran in his statement
to: “Urge the American companies to come here.” It is logical Iran does
not fear reconstruction after a possible U.S. military strike. Iran is
scoffing at the U.S. role as a “super-power.”
What does the Bush/Cheney dictatorship do now? Their bombastic
utterances have painted them into a corner. Were they capable of
reasonable, intelligent and informed decisions, they would call Iran’s
bluff and withdraw all U.S, troops. Turn the quagmire over to Iran. Let
Iran
fix Iraq if they actually think they can. Should Iran proceed to
massacre Sunnis and Kurds, the U.S. would have a moral right to
intervene. There would also be a reasonable chance at success, rather
than no chance at success as there is now. Let, Iraq break up
into three religious sections. It probably should and eventually will
anyway.
However, foresight and wisdom are not the hallmark of the Bush/Cheney
war machine. Not only is admitting a mistake a sacrilege, even when
it’s obvious, but also such an admission would mean a potential loss of
U.S. oil revenue. God forbid! The whole mess was started to get the oil in the first place!
That leaves only one Bush/Cheney option on the table acceptable to the White House even though it is not
acceptable to any sane person. Invade Iran. It’s time to slap these
Muslim heathens around and teach them a lesson whatever it takes. No
defiance of American power allowed! And hell, the Neocon war wagon has
been looking for a good excuse for the destruction of Iran
for months… maybe years. With two years remaining in an embarrassing
and disgraced presidency, what have Bush and Cheney got to lose?
Nothing.

Those who say nuke muslims to ice age, you should get knowledge about the world politics. Perhaps, the world extends beyond united states. Since you have brain that limits you to united states boundaries, there are people out there who are of other religions living among muslims, so you might want to protect non-muslims from other angry muslims after nuking muslims. So those who are against Islam, you have lot of hardwork to do in order to achieve your goals of eliminating muslims. Here's a way to start, first give up on sleeping with your own family members, and build a healthy family structure and try hard to make sure that men don't sleep with men and women with women. Once you build a healthy family structure, then you can teach them religion and make them conservative rather than liberal. I know it would be hard thing for you to do because you might not know the identity of your father or watch your mother go around with other men. I want to let you know that EVEN IF we Americans were to dissociate ourselves from the Iraqi War, and only allowed just ONE US SOLDIER at a time to enter the Iraqi War zone to fight and KILL as many Iraqis as he/she possibly could, that even with the death of 10,000 Iraqis per American soldier, there would STILL be the ethnic cleansing of Shiite and Sunni populations across the Iraq theatre of War games. Mighty as the American Soldier may be, the INIMICAL STYLE throughout the MIDDLE-EAST, is that "The More that the Mighty and Strong shall wage war, the MORE THAT THE WEAK SHALL OPPRESS THE "WEAKER"".
If, then, Were America to Pullout ALL soldiers, many in Congress would wish to FUND "some" Iraqi soldiers to wage war in Iraq.

Bowing five times per day in a faithful worship of God was established in it's time to give people a method for "Getting in touch with God". This PERSONAL CONNECTION is preached repeatedly throughout the Koran, and was good in it's time. As civilizations became more progressive, devoting more time to commerce and societal needs, bowing five times per day became less of a devotion, and more of a "CHORE".
Now, because of the Wahabbi method of "BEATING PEOPLE" with sticks to drive them to prayer (as we have personally witnessed in Saudi Arabia), the CHOICE factor has been taken away from individuals who wish to pray in their own fashion, at their own time (This "Making-up for missed prayer session" is preached in the Koran, that "MAKING UP FOR MISSED PRAYER IS ACCEPTABLE", just run through an extra set of dutiful bowing).
Americans are no better in their fashion of Belief. For instance, Baptists are Southern, Northern, in-between, Episcopalians are splitting more and more based on belief differences, Catholics are dividing within Catholicism to greater degree (And all "CHRISTIANS" are "CATHOLIC" in the eyes of the WORLD, except in the eyes of the PROTESTANTS, who "ARE" as a result of PROTESTING "CATHOLIC" DOGMA), even allowing CONDOMS to prevent (Disease). Americans have "NO And, there is no "GOVERNMENTAL DIRECTION TO WITNESS AS CHRISTIANS" but, AMERICANS are considered Christian by the rest of the world because of their being "AMERICAN".
American Faith systems, Being NON-GOVERNMENTAL, Americans then WAVER in their belief system, going from GENERAL BELIEF IN GOD, or Supreme Power, to a SPECIFIC FAITH GROUP that represents more closely their individual, personal, faith system, subject to being further SUB-DIVIDED
Wahabbi, Catholic, Baptist, Buddhist, Shiite, Sunni, Hindu, or whatever, what is your best guess on the CONSEQUENCE of being DUPED into some religious FANATICISM, and whether you GAIN from killing ALL THE OTHER BELIEVERS of all the other World Religions, or converting them? NOTHING! You get what you deserve, a totally DEVOID WORLD of DEAD PEOPLE. I am a liberal in United states. Why do I care if there Israel is glowing under nuclear cloud or any other country. I am seeing that my country is draining blood and money for the freedom of Israel and Israel is not my country and it is not united states. Spend the money wisely and spend it for the citizens of united states. I feel frustrated seeing my country and our soldiers dieing for the protection of Israel. Let the jews of Israel protect their own stolen land. If Israel wants to fight the middleeast, they are welcome, and I am tired of united states getting dragged into it. We have nothing to do with Israel or middleast. We should deal with countries that benefit united states.

The country was sprayed with uranium, Iraqis will have cancer and developmental abnormalities and may not survive this, 3. Bagdad museum is looted, 4. Remember before you compare Iraq to Vietnam, JFK got us into Vietnam, and 55,000 soldiers died over 12 years. Now in 2001 we were attacked, since then we have freed Afghanistan, Freed Iraq (yes they are free, if we were dictators there they would hardly be able to kill each other or us like they try to do). We have Libia apologizing for the wrongs they did and giving us their nuclear materials and research. We have now the first Arab in a Ministerial Post in Israel. And now after having a War declared against the United States on 9/11 we have had no additional attacks in 6 years. Oh yea, we have the first African American Woman as Secretary of State, and appointed by an evil neocon republican who is said to hate black people because he is so powerful that he sent them a hurricane...
Geee, you must be right I mean if President Bush was more like Hugo Chavez getting congress to allow him to make any law h wants for the next 18 months and allowing him to be president for his life time, then all would be good, right?
Get a clue. Iran is not a threat written by a guest,

While I agree with the sentiment that Iran has an opening in Iraq after the bungling Bush occupation, Iran is no threat, because it is an economic basket case. In ten years, Iran will be unable to export oil (dramatically cutting their revenues), because of growing domestic demand, and the inability to charge market rates at home.
By the way, the last thing the US will do is invade Iran. Instead, it is a strategic bombing campaign that the White House undoubtedly wants to conduct. Furthermore, such an aerial bombardment would be catastrophic to Iran's economy, especially since the US is blackballing them from the international banking system.
Finally, I think that the Bush administration has a phobia against admitting fault, so it naturally wants to blame Syria, Iran, al Qaeda, al-Sadr, and anyone or anything but their own stupidity, incompetence, and hubris. No, Iran is not a threat, but knowing the crowd in the White House, it might be conflated into one for political advantage (war is good politics appearently).
