Support Free Speech Activists

They have been charged with "conspiracy to produce and distribute " a Vancouver Sun parody, the 'Vancouver Scum.'

 

In this direct attack on freedom of expression, these activists are being sued for a four page parody of the sun's well known bias for the illegal occupation of Palestine territories.

 

In fact the media giant's founder, Izzy Asper, has boasted that; 

• "In all our newspapers ...we have a very pro-Israeli position... we are the strongest supporter of Israel in Canada."

As a result, Canwest is attempting to bully and silence criticism [of racist Israel].
 
This event is a free presentation at the BGEU HQ at 2994 Douglas St, in Victoria at 7 p.m. on September 19.
