Stand up for Net Neutrality!
by DemocraticMedia.ca
Canadians need to act NOW if they want an open Internet free of interference and control by powerful corporate interests.

Organizers of a rally on Parliament Hill on Tuesday, May 27, are urging everyone who can to join them in Ottawa to demand an Internet with equal access for all. Transportation from Toronto and Montreal has been arranged.

Details about the rally can be found at DemocraticMedia.ca.

The rally comes at a critical time. The CRTC, which is currently examining throttling of the Internet by Bell and Rogers, is seeking comment from the public about the issue. The deadline for input is June 12. The Campaign for Democratic Media provides a fast and easy way for you to get your message to the CRTC. Click here to send a form letter that we have provided or you can edit to express your opinion in your own words.

Canadians can also sign an online petition in support of Net Neutrality. More than 12,000 already have!

We need to protect innovation, competition, free speech, and Canadian culture, by protecting the principle of Net Neutrality and the Internet’s level playing field.

Our Internet freedom of choice is under attack!

If we don’t stand up now our Internet freedoms could be up for grabs by the highest bidder, or worse, simply taken away!
