This Week on Gorilla Radio
by C. L. Cook
This week, Canadian citizen, Sandra Finley going against the numbers with the Canadian census; Jon Elmer keeping watch on the Palestinian genocide; Janine Bandcroft brings us up to speed with all that's good going-on in and around the south island in the coming week.
Chris Cook hosts Gorilla Radio, airing live every Monday, 5-6pm Pacific Time. In Victoria at 101.9FM, 104.3 cable, and on the internet at: http://cfuv.uvic.ca. He also serves as a contributing editor to the web news site, www.pacificfreepress.com. Check out the GR blog at: http://GorillaRadioBlog.blogspot.com
"I'm looking for 62 Canadians" begins
Sandra Finley's plea for fellowship addressed to the nation. The 62 are
those among us who, like Sandra, defied the New Government of Canada's
census last, because it was conducted by one of the planet's most
profligate killers of men, women and children, the Lockheed Martin
corporation. Sandra, sensibly refused to deliver her biography to this
odious entity, as ordered on pain of punishment for refusal by "our"
federal overlords, and is now targeted for retribution lest any of the
rest of us Canadians deem it better to refuse tyranny than bow before
it. Here from the edge of Western Civilization, where police state
apparatus protects against the citizen's knowledge of our society's
true nature, and questioning the power once assumed to be working for
you and me with Sandra Finley in the first half.
And; Half-a-World away, billions of Canadian dollars are
spent annually killing, maiming, and imprisoning the citizens of the
country formerly known as Afghanistan, but in-country, where the
enablers of this seemingly endless war foot the bill, the sheep shorn
of their labours to maintain the new national militancy are given
little information on just why this carnage should continue.
And;
under Stephen Harper's leadership, Canada was first among nations to
defy the duly returned democratic will of the embattled Palestinian
people in electing fairly the Hamas political movement there, and
punish those same with a cessation of humanitarian assistance;
assistance vital because of the appalling policies of the racist and
murderous regime holding Palestine by the throat, Israel. Indeed, Mr.
Harper brags about his devotion to the world's second-most prominent
State-terrorist, while denying the [H]olocaust they daily enact. Jon
Elmer is a Canadian photo-journalist who has lived in, and reported
from the occupied territories in Palestine and is too a long-time
friend of this show. Jon Elmer and keeping watch on Israel's unfettered
genocide in the second segment.
And; Janine Bandcroft will be
here at the bottom of the hour to bring us up to speed with all that's
good going on in and around the south island in the coming week. But
first; Sandra Finley and not paying the Devil his due.
G-Radio is dedicated to social justice, the environment, community, and
