The mission of Pacific Free Press is simple: to dig out nuggets of truth from
the slag-heap of lies, ignorance and witless diversion that has buried
public discourse today. Pacific Free Press provides a new venue for
disseminating hard news and insightful, fact-based analysis of the
harsh realities too often ignored or distorted by the mainstream press.
Strait of Hormuz: Keeping the Neocon Iran Attack on the Front Burner
by Kurt Nimmo The Huffington Post is quoting the Associated Press:
"In what is being called a serious provocation, Iranian Revolutionary Guard boats harassed and provoked three U.S. Navy ships in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, officials said Monday.
U.S. forces were on the verge of firing on the Iranian boats in the early Sunday incident, when the boats ended the incident and turned and moved away, said a Pentagon official."
Another news day, another lame attempt to get Iran to respond and thus provide the provocation required for the United States and Israel to kill Iranian toddlers and mothers.
Of course, the Strait of Hormuz is part of Iran in fact, it
actually takes a detour into the country (see map). In other words,
this serious provocation would be like Iran calling foul if their
ships were harassed and provoked in New York Harbor.
Its
all part of the continuing propaganda effort in the build-up to attack
Iran, slated to occur before the decider-commander departs the Oval
Office.
But never mind. Most Americans would be unable to find
the Strait of Hormuz on a map, let alone Iran or for the matter the
Middle East.
"Five
Iranian boats made aggressive maneuvers and showed hostile intent
against three U.S. Navy ships at the weekend in the Strait of Hormuz, a
major oil shipping route in the Gulf, the Pentagon said on Monday.
The
Pentagon said the incident was serious. It described the Iranian
actions as careless, reckless and potentially hostile and said Tehran
should provide an explanation.
In Tehran, an Iranian foreign ministry spokesman had no immediate comment on U.S. accounts of the incident."
