Prisoner Loses Canadian Appeal
by Tre Arrow
Hello to everyone. Yes, it's been a while since I've written! Thank you for your continued patience and support.

Environmentalist and refugee hopeful, Tre Arrow has been incarcerated in Canada since March 2004.

Two seasons have come since my appeal hearing and on Friday (Oct 19) the court of appeal issued their decision regarding my extradition to the U.S. All three judges denied all the arguments my lawyer Jim made on my behalf. If you would like to read the reasons for the decision, go here.

"I am innocent of the charges the U.S. government is trying to pin on me. Just As many activists have experienced, I am being targeted by the U.S. government and the FBI, not because I am guilty, but because I have chosen to challenge the status quo."

- Political Prisoner Tre Arrow

There are a few key details regarding my case, which I feel are extremely important for everyone to know if they don't already.

These are:

-  This case against me is 100% politically motivated by the US government.

-  Despite the fact that Jake and Jeremy and Angie received 41 month sentences, I am facing life imprisonment for the very same crimes to which the three of them pled guilty.

-  The Canadian Ministry of Immigration has denied me the right and opportunity to have my refugee claim be heard.

Leaves are turning their fall colours, and making their way quietly to the ground. The soft sounds of the raindrops keep the rhythm of the night and coincide with the beating of my heart. I am reminded that I am alive and I have a mission to carry out.

Throughout all the struggles I have endured, my passion for protecting this planet and all life forms remains a central theme in my life. Yet this theme is also a concern that affects us all.

Our way to peace, health, happiness, respect and equality on all levels, in all ways, toward all beings, is a return to the land, back to our earth mother. Listening to our hearts and souls echoed through the voices of the trees, the sunset, the river's course, the eagle's cry, we find ourselves.

May we all have the strength to pursue our true calling and true purpose with all our might. I thank you again for your continued love and support, it keeps me alive and well.

I am planning on appealing this decision to the Supreme Court of Canada. As things develop I will keep you informed. At this point, I have no extradition lawyer.

Jim Blazina has withdrawn his services, therefore I am seeking a competent and experienced lawyer who is well versed in extradition and international law. If you know anyone who may be able to help with my case please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or phone (250) 721-5997.

Blessings.

Namaste,
tre
