If people vote for Barack it will be because voters believe in him, and feel he is qualified! If you recall, there have been black candidates before him who did not win the democratic primary. According to your theory, voters should have "already" elected a black candidate before due to their race. My question is, where is the affirmative action when blacks in general; have voted for more white candidates than whites have black candidates? These claims, offered with no evidence to back it up, reflects the sad state of our media these days. Why don't you read something about the candidates before posting these "news" articles that contribute absolutely NOTHING novel to the debate. Why not discuss the stances of the candidates? Why not discuss Obama's stances on reforming bankruptcy law? On his plans for healthcare reform by means of subsidies to the those most at risk and automatic employee enrollment in 401(K)'s, both bring down premiums and making the governments spending more efficient? Why not discuss his desire to repeal the upper class tax cuts, and reinstate the estaste tax? The point is not that you must agree with all or any of these ideas, but rather that the debate should not be about broad themes such as experience (which has historically proven to be the most over emphasized characteristic of Presidents; think Abe with his one House term and failed senate bid); but about who has the ideas and principles to restore the nation's standing as an example to be strived for. She has not ture stance on anything, and not the guts to back up what she does. She bends to the will of whomever has the most moeny, or talks the biggest. I do not believe that is what I want in a president. I am a woman, and I am all for a woman president, but not this woman. Obama may be black, but if he is strong and his politics are straight, he should be the president. Lets not forget that the Democratic pary has many diverse choices for president, which is refreshing to see. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School, was the editor of its law review and has written one not one, but two of the best receives books in America. In other words, the man is brilliant, expresses his ideas in a clear fashion and knows how to inspire people. These are all qualities that make a person great for the Presidency. It could mean he's not too over his head in the fame.
