I saw the events from every conceivable angle available to news helicopters, but I saw not one defense aircraft of any description. I heard many reports of multiple explosions throughout the WTC complex, but I saw no attempt at rooftop rescue. I saw two of the world's most imposing structures symmetrically disintegrate. I saw another massive building implode symmetrically without having been hit by a plane. In the days that followed I saw the President dissuade those who wanted to investigate 9/11 because it would supposedly detract from the "war on terrism"(?). I saw Condi Rice describe 'kamikaze-style attacks' that were somehow unforseeable because no one in America could imagine using planes as bombs(!). I saw WTC 7 completely ignored by a government commission that made no effort to establish the facts of 9/11, let alone assign responsibility: it went on to assert that the government agencies responsible for our defense that day should instead be awarded MUCH greater lattitude, power, and money. I saw these reactions called a 'necessity' for destroying the civil liberties which are, in fact, the only raison d'etre of the federal government of the USA.
