The chaos is planned and Rumsfeld succeeded beyond anyone's dreams in his quest for oil in Iraq. If YOU won't mention oil in talking about what we are doing in Iraq and why, then Rumsfeld has won over even his harshest critics. You may have bought the lie about democratization or some other lie, but what Rumsfeld did in Iraq was a COMPLETE SUCCESS for the purposes of the Bushitters. We went there for the oil; we have the oil. What would YOU call "success?"
