Not All Criminals Created Equal

As the occupier, and vastly superior military and economic party, it is Israel that must compromise its position. So far, no Israeli leader has offered to give up any of the lands garnered through the wars of '67 and '73, and in fact have, and contiue to, expropriate the lands and resources of what remains of Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem. This extra-colonialist push, as ever in defiance of international law, in concurrence with a war of aggression waged against neighbouring Lebanon, which itself witnessed a plethora of war crimes and crimes against humanity commited by the IDF, and especially its air wing.

Sure, peace needs willing partners, but it is ingenuous to assume an equality exists between the Palestinians, living under the boot of a violent, and unrepentant military occupation that allows immoral and illegal actions against the civilian population to continue with impunity, and the Israeli agents of that ongoing crime.

The above article speaks to the people of British Columbia and beyond, imploring they refuse to patronize a product that depends on the dispossession of one people, their lands and waters taken by force of arms, to profit the criminals gain further from the fruits of that land stolen.

If Hanna Kawas is truly "interested in peace with justice in the Middle East," then she should stop the rhetoric of propaganda and start talking the language of peace.
Do the same Geneva convention and Canadian laws she mentions apply to the Palestinians as well?
Is it Kawas' intention to punish Israeli "war crimes" yet ignore Palestinian "war crimes"? Is that how she intends to bring peace and justice?
If so, then the Israeli boycott should be matched by an equivalent boycott of Palestinians, who are also guilty of war crimes (http://web.amnesty.org/library/Index/ENGMDE020032002?open&of=ENG-ISR)

I believe that peace and justice will only come when both sides talk peace, not war, and talk of compromise and understanding, not boycotts and hate.
