I live very close to Pellston, have attended the meetings where the residents were not allowed to debate this issue of sov.deed, were not allowed any longer than 3 minutes to voice concerns/ask questions of mr. moore, gen. mills, were denied the basic rights afforded us by our State Constitution and the US Constitution. mr. moore has been unaccessable to answer the multitude of questions by the taxpaying local residents who will be victims of this new "disaster apartheid",(which is a most appropriate description!). residents are being fleeced of local tax dollars to start this business, with no voice in the matter at all. the local newspaper, and t.v. have called this a 'done deal" since its inception! anyone questioning this so-called tiered civil defense company is ridiculed as a "conspiracy nut". it has been shoved down our collective throats. ThankYou to You Amy/pacific free press, Michigan Messnger(an independent web news site), and Naiomi, for putting this travisty in the national spotlight. - annonymous

Having just watched the entire DemocracyNow! interview, I can say "shock" hardly does it justice. Imagine: insurance companies, selling premium services as insurance to the ultra-wealthy living in fire-prone areas. For these corporations, disaster pays. A big pay day awaits catastrophe, but not necessarily. - lex
