"Some Haitians benefit greatly by the dire poverty, lack of law protection, and homelessness of the peasants."

Maybe these "naive do-gooders" should petition their governments to stop intefering in Haitian sovereign affairs.

The U.S. government and it's corporate sponsors make out like bandits on "unrest" in Haiti, which they usually finance and plan along with the morally bankrupt Haitian elite who comprise the "business" class of Haiti. That is where the "war profiteering" aspect of "unrest" in an occupied country becomes the big leagues. - a guest

White abuse in Haiti

I've seen much abuse of white humanitarian relief efforts in Haiti by Haitians that have learned how to profit from these naive 'do-gooders'. Many Haitians in return are victimized by the contolling Haitian. And the whites are victimized as well...keeping the misery for the peasants going on and on...Some Haitians benefit greatly by the dire poverty, lack of law protection, and homelessness of the peasants. It is apparent that that are Haitians that want tp perpetuate the situation for their personal benefits...It's a shame that most foreigners never stay long enough or investigate their Haitian partners enough to see the deceit... - a guest
