Odoacer intervened in Rome in 476 a.d. The guillotine intervened in France in 1989. Bolshevism intervened in Russia in 1917. The world intervened in Germany in 1945.

Current events to watch include not just Iraq but the unpublicized revolution now taking place in Mexico. If the wraps come off down there (and it looks more and more as if the wraps are coming off), the "barbarians" will soon be coming here. Many have already arrived. No fence will stop the rest.

I was born in Iowa and have lived in the Midwest for most of my life. I can no more imagine what's coming than I can fly to the grocery store. But I know that whatever happens next will be awesome -- even if it isn't doesn't explode.

Anybody who takes five minutes to add up everything that's going on knows it can't go on much longer, which of course explains why our would-be masters make so much noise. They don't want most folks to have that extra five minutes. They want to postpone the inevitable for as long as possible. - Jimmy Montague
