Captain Paul Watson has the courage to speak out on topics that the public really don't want to address, such as our devastatingly high population, the damage done by our animal-based diets and agriculture, over-fishing the oceans and our perceived superiority above all other life forms. We are not gods or infallible! Our Creator made the humans to interact with Him in Genesis, and in "His Image", but humans have totally failed, have abused and misinterpreted their "dominion" over the world, and have fallen short to be the earth's destructors. The churches have not taken on the message of humility, and have failed to have a voice in contemporary ethical issues. They have centred on personal salvation, but have ignored the wonderful Planet and all the non-human creatures that we have responsibility to protect and respect. Humans have caused global warming, but little is being done, due to their arrogance and the seeminly sacred-ness of their life form! Human embryos, apparently, are too sacred to clone for medical research, but animals can be tortured and disposed of without a whimper from Christians! As a Christian myself, I often feel ashamed of belonging to the established church. God's mercy is bountiful, which makes the Gospel all the more incredible and His love even deeper!

Captain Watson, thank you, sir, for the work you do; and my thanks to your crews, too.

I read the National Geographic article about Sea Shepherd and immediately wrote a check for Sea Shepherd. I wish I had heard of you years ago so I could have been supporting you longer.

May your sanity and works prevail. - a guest

Excellent article. Sea Shepherd are the best environmental group out there.
Humanity better wake up to reality. If we don't get over this weak selfishness we're going down. Time for us to be human beings instead of a disease. - a guest
